MEET THE MAKER
I’m Martina – designer, maker and chief bottle-washer – supervised by Miss Roxie, rescue pup extraordinaire. Jewelry is a primal art form –celebrating mood, love, faith, longing and belonging, Inspired by history and travel, I create wearable art, talismans and future heirlooms, using silver and gold, gemstones and found objects. Most materials are recycled and ethically sourced.
My work is both minimalist and intricate, often hiding a little surprise or secret known only to the wearer. All of this happens in my studio, tucked away in an old cotton warehouse in Texas.
I left my hometown of Hamburg, Germany, the ink on my high school diploma still wet, and have enjoyed living in Italy, France, and different parts of the US, from East to West Coast.
